Our Physical Therapy Services

We’re proud to offer a comprehensive range of services aimed at promoting optimal health and well-being. Our team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals is committed to providing personalized care to address a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Orthopedic conditions impact the musculoskeletal system of bones, ligaments, cartilage, tendons, joints, and connective tissue. When one area of the system is injured or overstressed, failure results and pain alerts the brain that change is necessary. Our skilled team is trained to identify these faults and eliminate the pain response through hands-on therapeutic techniques and exercise prescription.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy involves hands-on techniques performed by trained therapists to diagnose, treat, and prevent various musculoskeletal and joint-related conditions.

Treatment may include joint manipulation, assisted muscle stretching, passive movements of the affected body part, or pushing against your therapist’s manual resistance to improve muscle activation and timing.

Manual therapy is used to:

  • Increase range of motion
  • Induce relaxation
  • Mobilize or manipulate soft tissue and joints
  • Modulate pain
  • Reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or restriction.
  • Reduce pain or spasm
  • Enhance health, wellness, and fitness
  • Improve physical function

Dry Needling

Dry needling is used to alleviate pain and improve muscle function. It involves the insertion of thin, filiform needles into trigger points or tight bands of muscles, or “knots,” without injecting any substances (hence the term "dry").

The primary goal of dry needling is to stimulate these trigger points, which are areas of hyperirritability within the muscle. Therapeutic responses may include muscle relaxation, improved blood flow, and the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.

Dry needling is commonly used to treat various musculoskeletal conditions, such as myofascial pain syndrome, muscle tightness, and sports-related injuries. It's essential to note that dry needling should be performed by trained and licensed practitioners to ensure safety and efficacy.

Concussion Physical Therapy

A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that can result from a blow to the head or a sudden, forceful movement of the head. While concussion symptoms often involve cognitive and neurological aspects, physical therapy plays a crucial role in managing the physical repercussions.

Concussion therapy is often tailored to your specific symptoms and needs, and it may involve a combination of exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic modalities. This multidisciplinary approach aims to support you in your recovery, minimize your symptoms, and promote a safe return to normal activities.

If you suspect you may have a concussion, it's important that you seek care from healthcare professionals, including physical therapists who are experienced in concussion management.

Certified in The Graston Technique®

The Graston Technique® is a form of manual therapy that utilizes specially designed, stainless steel instruments to perform soft tissue mobilization. The instruments are applied to the skin to detect and treat scar tissue, fascial restrictions, and areas of chronic inflammation.

During a session, we use the instruments to glide over your skin and identify areas with altered texture or movement. Once located, the instruments are used to break down adhesions and scar tissue, promoting improved blood flow, reducing pain, and enhancing the overall function of the soft tissues.

This technique is commonly employed to treat musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, strains, and chronic pain. It’s often integrated into a comprehensive rehabilitation program to complement other therapeutic approaches, such as exercise and stretching.
